It’s Week 5 of the college football season. Here are our latest rankings using our Elo rating system.
Minnesota was easily the biggest shock of the week, dropping 16 spots after a 14-10 loss to Bowling Green. UNC also had another disappointing loss, and a bad loss at that, this time to Georgia Tech. Baylor came away with a big win over Iowa State, as did NC State over Clemson and Oregon State over UNC.

Here are the rankings for all FBS teams heading into Week 4 of the college football season, using our Elo rating system.
We’ve revamped the table to include more info on who each team beat last week, and how many spots up or down in the rankings they moved.
Utah and Indiana dropped out of the Top 25 with losses to San Diego State and Cincinnati, while Michigan State and Minnesota moved in with wins over Miami and Colorado.

Georgia worked their way up to 30 points below Clemson, from -112 the week before, but maintained their spot in 4th. They hold the 3rd best expected wins now behind Alabama and Ohio State.
Iowa, Texas, and Penn State all moved up after solid wins, while Wisconsin fell, and Washington dropped out of the Top 25 after a loss to Montana. UNC also dropped out after a loss to VT while BYU and Michigan entered the Top 25 with wins over Arizona and Western Michigan, respectively.
